Just read Jude‘s post, and her response to a comment “There is always beauty.” struck me as profound. People (including myself, sometimes) don’t always see that. It’s true. Perhaps not if the definition of “beauty” is very specific. Some would say a rose is beautiful, but rose petals fallen on the driveway is not, even if they think rose petals strewn on a bed is. These are interpretations. A lot of beauty is tied up in interpretations. But what if true beauty has nothing to do with interpretations?

If I have to walk through dirty, slushy snow, generally speaking what I’ll see is a mess. I often saw/see beauty in snow, but dirty roadside slush??? In 2013 I did an embroidery challenge to find beauty there. I think I succeeded.
