O.M.G!
I can’t believe I haven’t posted since January 2!!
Here’s a quick summary of what I remember at the moment.
I was all set to get walking again when I ended up with plantar fasciitis. Besides walking, redoing the art room, cleaning the sewing room, and any garden/yard work was put on hold. After a month of not doing anything I couldn’t do while seated with my feet up, I got moving again. Still slowly. My foot is not 100% healed. It could take 12 months and the doctor said the bone spurs are contributing to the problem, However, at this point, I just go until it starts to hurt, rather than just aches. My Cloudsteppers are wonderfully soft and help me to keep going –especially on the cement floor downstairs.
One of the projects I was able to work on is digitizing patches for my chiropractor. Hopefully, I’ll be starting on the actual stitch outs this week. So far, the only stitching has been samples.
I also stitched a couple of florist patches for my sister, who’s making aprons for the workers there. But they told her they won’t wear aprons with the patches on them. I don’t know why, but between the two sets of patches, I’ve learned quite a bit.
Finally, I managed to get out into the yard/garden since the middle of May. I have a vision of how I want it to look, but since I’m the only only one doing the work, and on a limited budget, I’ve had to readjust my time frame for accomplishing it all. If I could work eight hours a day, digging, dragging, bricklaying, the way I could thirty or forty years ago (that long ago?!?!?!), I might be almost done. However, three hours of that kind of work is my absolute max these days and not every day (more like one out of three). Gotta say, though, those three hours today feel as good as eight did back then.
That’s all I can think of at the moment. I’m still around and will post something more planned and coherent sometime . . . hopefully this summer, but by the end of September, anyway.
