Empty Space

The deck builders tore down the old deck yesterday. This little video was taken July 1, 2020. It’s the only “picture” I could find of the whole deck. You can see some of the problem, especially as I pan to the right, but the whole floor was weak and wobbly. It was 65 or 70 years old! Even redwood doesn’t last forever. Rose Roots

Rose Roots

Today was so nice, I had to go out. I managed to get the roots growing outside the pots trimmed on half the rosebushes. I hope it wasn’t too much or too soon. Only two were heavy roots. We’ll see. Hopefully, within the next two weeks I’ll also be able to repot these bushes–same pots, but more dirt. It’s amazing how much dirt washes away with rain and watering.
