Cobwebs and dust are all that I find,
where words once formed in my heart.
Cobwebs and dust from all the places
that once made my life a poem.
Dusting and sweeping, I hope I'll find
that door back to my heart
where I can reach to those places
where breathing is like a poem.

This poem was written for a message board somewhere (maybe Moms Online) shortly after I learned how to get online in 1998. It was about then that I started to get back to writing after at least 13 years of rarely doing any writing. My comment with the poem was: Well, I don't know... I just dug that out of the cobwebs and dust.
