The title/first line of this poem was something tiredartist said in a forum post. It just took root in my brain.

Mosquitoes Aren't Very Literary

Mosquitoes aren't very literary.
Bees don't read any books.
Spiders in the library
just want to use the nooks.

An ant will walk across the page
and traverse back again.
A fly will buzz it in a rage,
but it doesn't have the brain.

It doesn't matter what is true.
To get the story done,
you can go beyond the zoo
and make it lots of fun.
