Now that we have forsaken
our prudish past,
left it behind
with thatched roofs and cobblestones,
is our justification
found in what we
have in common
with all the rest of mankind?
What hope can we find therein?
For sinful man
indecently
proposes to make himself
king of everything he sees,
not seeing who
made all he sees,
not admitting he is ruled
by naught but base emotions.
He cares not but
to please himself
Unable to keep control
of himself with common sense.
Then he wonders
why God has left
him alone and forsaken.
