with her cat so
she's not alone.
Her joys,sorrows,
and hopes are shared
and divided
with Kit. Kit, who
doesn't seem to
care about her,
doesn't seem to
want affection,
purrs at her touch,
snuggles in her
arms after a
small protest of
independence,
just to be clear
who really is
boss. And if the
woman could purr,
she, no doubt, would.
