One never knows where inspiration will come from. A creative young poet I know from Xanga, known there as limegreenideas, made a poetic comment about chocolate stew that instantly set my mind whirling. (Might have something to do with a chocolate craving I'm trying to fight.) This is what came out.

Chocolate Stew

Chocolate is the gravy.
To that you add some walnuts
and some almonds... peanuts, too.
Marichinao cherries,
berries blue and straw
round out this rich, dark goo.
And for the final touch
rich chocolate in big chunks.
Mmmm.... This is chocolate stew!
I love it. Wouldn't you?
