Pineapple Lhassi!

I've never seen how they make it in the restaurant. If I can find some canned mangoes, I will definitely try it. (I'll try fresh mangoes in July/August. Not sure if you can use fresh pineapple or not.) I think strawberry banna would be good, too. This is a very healthy mid-morning or mid-afternoon snack, too... especially if you don't need to add sugar. (I'm finding I don't or need very, very little -- just to soften the sharpness of the yogurt.)

  • 20 oz can of pineapple without the juice (you can use juice for a thinner lhassi)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • crushed ice (optional)
  • sugar to taste (optional)
Blend milk, yogurt and pinespple until smooth. Add optional ingredients as desired. Serve. Makes about 4 glasses.
