I'm not exactly sure when I stitched this, I posted it on the Facebook TAST site at the time. I like how it turned out -- almost the way I saw it in my head! This is one of those stitches that I enjoy stitching. I don't remember where I got the pattern, but I think it was from a Flickr non-copyright pattern group.
What do you do when you're working on an important project at work and your father asks you to go with him on a quest to find his long-lost love? Of course, you say no, but when he goes off on his own, you take some vacation time to try and talk him into returning home.
I'm a bit surprised that it's been so long. Except for quick check-ins at Facebook and a Saturday and/or Sunday afternoon catching up on blogs (reading other people's blogs, obviously not my own) I haven't spent much time online. I played with Gimp when I was too tired to do anything else, but it was mostly just playing. It did give me ideas, though.
Because I got behind, the stitches will be out of order for a while. This was the current stitch when I started it.
Our rain drain backed up because of tree roots and our family room was flooded. We didn't think the art studio got wet except on the edges, but we discovered otherwise. Everything is on hold until the carpets are desaturated and cleaned, hopefully by the end of next week. The sewing studio was totally untouched, but cleanup (which involves moving furniture out of the way) kept me out of there. I'm going to try to get in there today, but won't have anything to show.
I have gotten back to TAST in the evenings, but I'm dithering on how I want to do it. I have an idea, so I may go do that instead of machine work. But I have so many art quilt ideas!!!
