TAST 61 & 62

I'm trying hard, and with difficulty, to get my family room finished ASAP. Since I don't know if I'll have any more time this week to work on  stitching, I decided I'd better post what I have done, even though it's not a lot.

Twelve Dancing Butterflies

This is the dress that I made my granddaughter for her birthday. She loves to dance, and she loves twirly dresses. She also loves the colors purple and pink. I had a pattern for a twirly dress and some purple fabric. Actually it was more lavender, but it was also very plain. I decided I would use the embroidery machine and put some embroidered butterflies on it. Since the dress had six panels I chose six butterflies. While I was figuring the placement of the butterflies I decided that one per panel was not enough. I didn't stop to think how many there were in the collection, so I simply doubled the six I had.

I'm not sure what happened to February and March! I was going to be more regular about posting and Poof! I don't post for two months. Oh, well... I'm back!

Ruminations on Creativity

I've had the flu this week (as most people have!) and when I couldn't sleep any more, but couldn't do anything else, I decided to catch up on some of the blogs I've let lapse in my Google Reader. No way I'll catch up on all of them, but I'm trying to get the last few posts of most. I'm grateful for the tablet I received for Christmas, because I was unable to sit at my computer to read.

This really is ruminating, so, if you're not interested in my rambling thoughts (and I do ramble!), don't feel obligated to read the full story.
