I've been dealing with computer complications which are keeping me from most everything except quick e-mail and Facebook check-ins. Nonetheless, I have managed to squeeze in a bit of TAST stitching now and then...
...
I did this one a while back. It's a buttonhole stitch line, white Pekinese stitch border around a canvas stitch (I have to look this up--book isn't handy at the moment) with a French knot center, experimental chain stitch and simple running stitch box. This is all perle 8.
These are random pink pistil stitches over drizzle stitch flowers. The blue flower has an unbeaded hedebo stitch stem, yellow French knots and pistil stitches. The purple flower has a buttonhole stitch stem. There are also pink pistil stitch flowers in the sheaf/chain stitch grass. This is all perle 8 except the pistil stitch flowers which are perle 12.
These are buttonhole wheel cup flowers with back stitch stems. The peacock feathers are green Italian border stitch with blue single chain stitches over the knots. His body is satin stitch with fly stitch over it, chain stitch neck and head, stem stitch legs and single stitches for the toes and beak. All single strand embroidery floss. The tree is chain stitch (up and down) in perle 5, with leaves, in perle 8, of closed base needlewoven picot, which is actually current!
